From 50 kilometres to 100 miles, from the beach to the mountains, to the dessert, ultramarathons are pretty straightforward. You run, run some more and then some more, eventually you cross the finish line.
No less than 2.5km, swimming isn’t as good as running but how many ultra-runners can swim an ultra equivalent swim and how many ultra equivalent swimmers can run an ultramarathon.
It’s the ultimate endurance event a combination of swimming, cycling and running. Even the sprint distance is considered an endurance race.
